Like many a traveler, thinking I had found the Quetzal trail I hiked into this gorgeous stream bed and small canyon, marred only by this huge water pipe running parallel to the stream. Later I found out this is called the Pipeline trail and it is one of the best places to see the Resplendent Quetzal, one of the worlds most beautiful birds.

The next day I found the Quetzal trail which is an easy 6 mile hike to Cerro Punta. This trail has lots of different terrain from higher up with pine trees and cloud forest to the dense tropical forest along the stream.
